Amitabh Bachchan has officially joined the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) as the proud owner of the Mumbai team, marking a significant move in his career.
The ISPL, India's pioneering tennis ball T10 cricket tournament held within a stadium, is set to kick off its inaugural edition from March 2 to March 9 in Mumbai, featuring a total of 19 high-intensity matches. The tournament showcases six teams competing zealously – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar.
Bachchan, at 81, expressed his enthusiasm about this new venture, describing it as an honor and privilege to be associated with the Mumbai team. In a blog post, he shared his sentiments about witnessing the surge of talent and considered the ISPL as an exciting and noble concept.
The league provides a platform for cricketers who honed their skills on the streets and makeshift pitches to transition into professional settings, showcasing their abilities before a global audience.
